この度ハギワラプロジェクツでは、5月25日(土)より土肥美穂、松本菜々、政田武史、野島良太の４名によるドローイング展を開催いたします。各作家は主に絵画や立体作品を制作していますが、ドローイングは単なる補完的な技法にとどまらず、作家の思考や衝動を映し出す重要な手段として捉えられています。異なるアプローチから生み出されたドローイング作品が、独自の個性を放ちます。個々の表現をぜひご鑑賞ください。


土肥美穂は、異なる素材を組み合わせ、実験的かつ有機的な立体作品を制作しています。彼女のドローイングのアプローチは、平面上で色や形、素材の組み合わせを探求し、立体作品と同じ​ように熱量を含ませることに焦点をあてています。​立体作品​同様に親しげで不思議と存在感が感じられるドローイング作品です。

松本菜々は、ファウンドフォトや古書の図版を活用し、そこから想起される全く新しいオブジェクトを作り出します。さらに、平面とオブジェと組み合わせることで、時間や空間の関係性を再構築し、因果的または非因果的な解釈を生み出します。彼女のドローイングではイメージがより抽象的になり、異なるイメージへの接続が軽やかに絡み合います。

政田武史の水彩ドローイングは、主にペインティングを制作する彼のもう一つの代表的な作品です。ドローイングでは​主に映画やテレビ番組や日常的な事物からモチーフ​を取り入れますが、それらのイメージは無作為なように見えて、実際は絵画の枠組みの中で直接的または間接的な解釈に基づいて慎重に選ばれています。政田の解釈したイメージは、水彩の大胆なストロークと鮮やかな色彩で表現され、見る者を作品の深みへと導きます。

野島良太​の描くペンティングは、画面との対話から生まれ​ます。彼は自身の意図やアイデア、また偶然や無意識を繰り返し取り入れながら筆を進め、様々なスタイルの作品を描きます。ドローイングは、水彩やアクリルを用いた軽やかな表現で、日記のように日々制作され、蓄積された経験によってキャンバス作品との対話をより豊かなものにしています。

 

 

土肥 美穂　Miho Dohi

松本 菜々 Nana Matsumoto

1986年千葉県生まれ。2010年東京造形大学大学院造形研究科造形専攻美術研究領域修士課程修了。主な個展に「Polyonymous」LOOP HOLE （2022, 東京)、「Multiple Elements」 gallery valuer (2013, 愛知)など。主なグループ展に「Fungal Fugue」HAGIWARA PROJECTS (2023, 東京)、「目と的」Artist-run space Merdre (2021, 東京)、「雨足に沿って 舵をとる」アキバタマビ21,3331 Arts Chiyoda (2020, 東京)、「路傍の絵画」アートラボはしもと(2015, 神奈川), 「Field of Painting」都美セレクション東京都美術館(2014, 東京)など。

 

 

政田 武史 Takeshi Masada

1977年大阪府生まれ。2003年京都市立芸術大学大学院研究科絵画専攻油画卒業。主な展覧会に「Where the Birds Return, the Horizon That Sticks to the Eyes」 AISHONANZUKA （2021, 香港）、「不機嫌なヤマビコ、加速するアポトーシス」The Mass (2017, 東京)、「It appears this way. When the world bursts out.」 HAGIWARA PROJECTS （2013, 東京）、「赤の他人列伝」　Wako Works of Art (2012, 東京)など。主なグループ展に「Town of Ghosts」 AISHONANZUKA (2023, 香港)、「Kaleidoscope」 AISHONANZUKA (2022, 香港)、「絵画のありか」 東京オペラシティアートギャラリー（2014, 東京）、 「Re:Membering - Next of Japan」 Doosan Gallery & Alternative Space LOOP (2009, 韓国)など。

 

 

野島 良太 Ryota Nojima

1987年東京都生まれ。2012年武蔵野美術大学 造形学部油絵学科油絵専攻 卒業。

HAGIWARA PROJECTS is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a drawing exhibition by four artists starting from Saturday, May 25th. While each artist's primary works include paintings and sculptures, drawing is considered not just a complementary technique but a crucial means to reflect the artist's thoughts and impulses. Drawings created from different approaches are shaped by individual perspectives, emitting unique characteristics. We invite you to appreciate the diverse expressions.

Miho Dohi creates experimental and organic sculptures by combining various materials. Her approach to drawing explores color, shape, and material combinations on a flat surface, focusing on infusing them with the same energy found in her three-dimensional pieces. Her drawings exude a friendly and enigmatic presence, akin to her sculptures.

Nana Matsumoto's work utilizes found photos and illustrations from old books to create entirely new objects evoked from them. Furthermore, by combining flat images with objects, she reconstructs the relationship between time and space, generating both causal and non-causal interpretations. In her drawings, images become more abstract, and connections to different images intertwine gracefully.

Takeshi Masada's watercolor drawings are another iconic body of work for him, alongside his primary focus on painting. His drawing's inspiration comes from movies, TV shows, and everyday objects. While these images may appear random, they are actually carefully chosen based on direct or indirect interpretations within the framework of painting. Masada's interpreted images, rendered with bold strokes and vibrant colors in watercolor, guide the viewer into the depths within the artwork.

Ryota Nojima's paintings are born from a dialogue with the canvas. He continuously incorporates his intentions, ideas, as well as chance occurrences and unconscious impulses, resulting in artworks of various styles. His drawings exhibit a lightness of expression using watercolor and acrylic, often produced daily like a diary, enriching the dialogue with canvas works through accumulated experiences.

 

Miho Dohi

Born in Nara-prefecture in 1974. Completed postgraduate studies at Tokyo Zokei University in 2002. Selected solo exhibitions include Crevecoeur (2023, Paris), HAGIWARA PROJECTS (2021, Tokyo), Gordon Robichaux (2021, New York), The Renaissance Society at the University of Chicago (online) (2020, Chicago), "Showcase Gallery Miho Dohi" Azamino Yokohama Civic Gallery (2020, Yokohama), Nonaka-Hill (2018, Los Angeles), Lulu (2017, Mexico City), and HAGIWARA PROJECTS (2016, Tokyo). Nana Matsumoto

Born in 1986, Chiba prefecture. Tokyo Zokei University of Arts,M.A. in Fine Arts in 2010. Solo exhibitions include “Polyonymous” LOOP HOLE (2022, Tokyo), “Multiple Elements” gallery valuer (2013, Aichi prefecture). Group exhibitions include “Fungal Fugue” HAGIWARA PROJECTS (2023, Tokyo), “Metomato” Artist-run space Merdre (2021, Tokyo), “Steering along with tempo of rain” Akibatamabi21/ 3331 Arts Chiyoda (2020, Tokyo), “Robo No Kaiga” Art-Lab Hashimoto (2015, Kanagawa), “Field of Painting” Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, Ueno (2014, Tokyo).

 

Takeshi Masada

Born 1977 in Osaka. Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts in 2003 with an MA in Fine Art. Selected solo exhibitions include “Where the Birds Return, the Horizon That Sticks to the Eyes” AISHONANZUKA (2021, Hong Kong), The Mass (2017, Tokyo), “It appears this way.
